Hyper-Lite Kits safe with BMW’s ABS servo systems and CAN bus systems!! We've put Hyper-Lite brake enhancement kits on thousands of BMWs with the new brake system, and had several put through the mill by BMW techs. Hyper-Lite kits DO NOT AFFECT THE NEW ABS SENSOR SYSTEMS IN ANY WAY. The BMW CAN Bus system uses 2.4 volts for the running light and 13.9 volts for the brake light. Since the 2.4 volts is too low to activate our control flasher, we use the single CAN bus wire to activate our LED brake lights, which act seamlessly with the bike's system. The Ultimate Motorcycle Brake Light Enhancement

Our Kits are custom designed for quick and simple model specific installation on  BMW motorcycles with 12 volt electrical systems. Most kits require little or no cutting, crimping or splicing of wires. There are three basic Hyper-Lite options: OPTION 1:  Brake lights  alone or  brake lights and running lights? Standard kits.  Legendary Hyper-Lites  superbright LED brake lights completely encased in epoxy wrapped in textured black ABS.  Not just "weather resistant".  They run under water, in mud, rain, snow, heat, cold.....you get the idea.  Our brake light intensity level was carefully chosen for what we call the Goldilocks  effect.  Bright enough to be hugely effective, they are not blinding or prone to induce road rage.   Dual Function kits.  Running lights at a reduced ( 30% ) intensity and full intensity brake lights .  Although the running lights are only 30% as bright as our brake lights, they are still up to twice as bright as  OEM running lights, and won't fade in bright sunlight. OPTION 2:  Brake light function.  Although 95% of our customers opt for flashing brake lights, we offer several alternatives for those who march to a different drummer... Flashing Brake Lights.  Hyper-Lites are the original and patented LED flashing motorcycle brake lights.  The combination of  flashing at a little over 3 times per second and  our  famous  LED intensity are the most effective brake light combination.  All flashing Hyper-Lite kits can be installed to flash continuously when braking or to flash for 5 seconds then go solid. Modulating Brake Lights.  Some motorcyclists are uncomfortable with the startling nature of  flashing brake lights, so we introduced  modulators.  They fluctuate between high (brake light ) intensity and low (running light) intensity rather than flashing on and off.   Still very effective, they are somewhat less noticable than flashing brake lights.  Can be configured as constant modulating or 5 second modulating then solid. California Model Flashing Brake Lights.  In their frantic need to be different than the rest of us poor slobs, the California legislature mandates that brake lights can only flash four times in four seconds, then go solid.  These comply.  Interestingly,  we've found that most California  traffic officers are unaware of the mid-eighties statute and those that are aware usually buy our flashing brake lights anyway. Non-Flashing Brake Lights.  For those who want to have more effective brake lights without flashing or modulating,  We have standard and Dual Function non-flashing kits.   OPTION 3:   How many LEDs? 8 LED kits have two 1 5/8" wide by 7/8" high by 5/8" deep LED modules . 16 LED kits have two 2 1/8"  wide by 7/8" high by 5/8" deep LED  modules.
